Part-time Summer Seasonal Workers (Glenview, IL)
Description
The Village is seeking temporary part-time summer seasonal workers in the Public Works Department to provide general assistance to various maintenance crews during the summer months. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: street or tree maintenance, pothole patching, storm sewer cleaning/maintenance, and shop/building maintenance. Candidates with previous public works is a plus, but not required. Training with vehicles/equipment will be provided upon hire. Seasonal summer positions will work a 7am to 3pm shift, Monday through Friday. The general duration of these temporary positions flexible from approximately June to September.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Salary/ How to Apply
Hourly Rate: $17.00- $19.00 per/hour, depending on experience. No fringe benefits, and not IMRF eligible.
